These can be used to allow sunlight and moonglow in, creating a natural light in both cases. One of the most interesting features of a skylight is that the light it brings is entirely natural, and changes with the moods and weather effects of the day. You may have soft early morning light, brighter mid-day light, or that colorful glowing light of sunset, and the direction of the light changes at every hour of the day. Nick Williams designs often use the topmost area of an outdoor roof to build ina skylight right adjacent to the central roof beam. They look fabulous on open beam ceilings, and at times a strategically placed ceiling fan or hanging lantern or light fixture can complement this skylight design.
